Job Description

The Executive Housekeeper will directly supervise the housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of the hotel. Must be hands-on, motivated manager willing to ambitiously improve the level of service, quality and operational performance. Requirements The successful candidate must have previous experience in a housekeeping managerial role; knowledge of proper cleaning techniques; ability to prioritize and organize work assignments; and must enforce hotel's standards, policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and ability to manage staff with positive motivation. The position requires effective time management and strong communication skills. A team-winning, proactive attitude is essential for the candidate's success in the position. Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Hire, train and supervise housekeeping and laundry staff
Assign daily boards to housekeeping team members * Maintain room quality based on hotel objectives * Monitor and maintain a level of cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms, and public areas * Compile and report accurate status of guest rooms to front office * Oversee all housekeeping duties * Maintain productivity and labor cost goals * Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing linen inventories and cleaning supplies * Conduct inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment * Ensure quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs and that guest relations are enhanced * Ensure satisfactory scores with brand by preparing for audits, evaluating results, and collaborating with management and team with necessary improvements * Perform other job related duties as assigned Qualifications * Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility required * Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays SMI Hotel Group recruits the best and brightest, in order to deliver the highest quality service to our guests.
