VELCOs Advancing Grid Intelligence through Learning Experiences (AGILE) Program is a summer internship opportunity for undergraduate and graduate college students. Based on principles of agile project management AGILE Interns will make meaningful and tangible contributions to VELCOs strategic projects to protect reliability and affordability of the transmission system.

How you will make an impact

Were seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Power Accounting Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience. Power accounting involves tracking measuring and settling the flow of electricity across high-voltage grids managing costs for usage congestion and line losses.

In this role youll gain hands-on experience in energy accounting support and exposure to real-world power accounting.

Examples include:

• Assist in the daily metering scheduling market settlements and monthly power billings.

• Support daily power accounting operations including collection of meter data.

• Assist and support with invoicing and audit processes.

Who you are

Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting Business Administration or a related field.

Knowledge/Skills

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting Business Administration or a related field.

• Basic understanding of accounting.

• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative environment.

Physical/Mental Demands

Prolonged periods of working on a computer. Must be able to maintain fast pace while completing complex analytical work in potentially stressful situations with competing priorities within tight timelines and with frequent interruptions.

Compensation Range:

This compensation range represents the minimum midpoint and maximum pay for this position. Individual offers will be based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications education skills competencies and experience. Please note that most offers for new employees fall under the midpoint of the range allowing room for continued salary growth. Base pay is just one component of our total compensation package which may also include comprehensive benefits generous paid time off and incentive compensation (bonus) potential.
