Job Title: Low Voltage Technician

Job Description

Join a leading provider of low voltage services in the Madison area, specializing in the design and implementation of fire alarm, security, nurse call, access controls, and audio-video systems. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will install Low Voltage systems and troubleshoot sytems

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate the quality and accuracy of low voltage system installations.
  • Verify compliance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Provide on-site coaching and guidance to technicians to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Engage with customers during and after installation to assess satisfaction and address concerns.
  • Document findings and generate reports on installation quality and customer feedback.
  • Identify gaps in technician knowledge or skillsets and develop targeted training plans.
  • Collaborate with operations, service, and training teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards, technologies, and best practices.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2-5 years of technical field experience in the low voltage electrical industry, preferably with hands-on experience in fire alarm, access control, video surveillance, nurse call, and/or audio video systems.
  • 2 years’ experience in technician training or field supervision.
  • Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact effectively with technicians and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple site visits and assessments.
  • Proficient in using inspection and reporting tools (e.g., tablets, mobile apps, digital forms).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with fire alarm, nurse call, access control systems.
  • Skills in installation, troubleshooting, and programming.
  • Experience in customer interaction, electrical service, and audiovisual systems.

Work Environment

Work 100% in the field on construction projects. The dress code is appropriate for a construction site, with standard hours from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, in an 8-hour day shift

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
