Job Title: Production Supervisor (1st & 2nd Shift)

Location: Decatur, AL

Compensation

2nd Shift

• Base Salary: $110,000 - $120,000
• Annual Bonus: $2,000
• Additional 10% Shift Differential on base salary
• Schedule: 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee development while ensuring production schedules are achieved.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader with experience supervising assembly, fabrication, welding, or metal manufacturing teams. You will work closely with engineering, maintenance, procurement, logistics, and plant leadership to improve operational performance and build a high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily manufacturing operations across assembly and fabrication teams.
• Lead production planning, staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are consistently achieved.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
• Identify production issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Team Leaders and production employees.
• Monitor KPIs and production metrics to improve efficiency and operational performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, and Logistics to resolve production challenges.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of production staff.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications Required

• Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience in one or more of the following:
  • Assembly
  • Metal Fabrication
  • Welding
  • Industrial Manufacturing
• At least 4 years of supervisory or production leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, manpower planning, and shop floor operations.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and quality initiatives.
• Strong leadership, communication, and employee coaching skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and manufacturing or production management systems.

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
