This mind-set goes beyond our customer solutions; it’s the foundation for your career development and the impact we have within the community. So, what’s your possible?

Opportunity:

This is more than just a job; it’s a mission.

As a Senior UX Designer, you will be responsible for the design of high-quality artefacts to support the features defined from the projects prioritised roadmap. This role supports the ever increasing need to protect our national security through development of software applications in an Agile environment to collect data, analyse it and allow our customers to make information aware decisions.

Reporting to the Lead UX Designer, you will be a linchpin in leading small teams to deliver quality outcomes. You’ll have the chance to work on exciting and important projects where you will be at the forefront of UX design.

Our UK Cyber & Intelligence business combines modern software development approaches with a rich heritage and experience in the Defence and security sectors. Our customers have complex and sensitive data and information requirements requiring a mission partner who quickly understands the context, delivering and sustaining a portfolio of challenging technology projects at scale and pace, supporting them through an ambitious digital transformation programme.

Role responsibilities:

  • Confidently explain and present choices made in the final design to varying audiences
  • Responsible for the creation of artefacts that support the lean process including wireframes, prototypes, customer journey maps, testing and research
  • Able to lead the development of those features, ensuring the work is consistent and fulfils the design aims
  • Lead small teams, being accountable for the quality of delivery
  • Facilitate workshops to build collaboration between project team members
  • Liaise with Product Owners and project Stakeholders as well as key role holders within the project team to help deliver the desired user experience

We are looking for:

  • A varied portfolio that demonstrates the quality of your design thinking and research/testing methods
  • Some experience of managing designers and project work
  • Excellent communication skills used to present ideas and feedback to help the project team as well as provide feedback to other UX designers to ensure the quality control is maintained as set out by the UX charter
  • A solid understanding of UX practices within software development
  • A good understanding of accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design techniques or a keen willingness to learn

If you don't meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
