Fairmount Country Club is seeking polished, hospitality-driven Full-Time Dining Server to join our Food & Beverage team as we enter an exciting new chapter for the Club.

Following a transformational renovation of our Main Clubhouse, FCC is focused on delivering a dining experience that is warm, refined, consistent, and deeply personal. We are looking for individuals who take pride in the details, have strong technical skillset, enjoy building relationships, and want to be part of a professional hospitality environment with long-term opportunity.

This is an excellent position for someone with restaurant, hotel, private club, or upscale casual dining experience who is looking for stability, growth, and the opportunity to help shape a newly elevated dining program.

About Fairmount Country Club

Fairmount Country Club is a private, member-owned country club located in Chatham, New Jersey. The Club offers an 18-hole golf course, racquets, aquatics, family programming, social events, and a newly renovated Main Clubhouse designed to serve as the center of member dining and hospitality.

Our Food & Beverage program is focused on thoughtful service, member recognition, quality, consistency, and creating a welcoming experience for every member and guest.

Position Summary

The Full-Time Dining Server is responsible for providing attentive, professional, and personalized service in the Club’s dining rooms, bars, patios, member events, and private functions. This role requires a strong service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver hospitality that feels polished but never scripted.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys people, understands the rhythm of a dining room, and takes ownership of the member experience from arrival through departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional, and efficient service to members and guests
• Learn and use member names, preferences, and dining habits to create a personalized experience
• Maintain strong knowledge of menus, specials, cocktails, wine, beer, and club offerings
• Accurately take orders and communicate clearly with culinary and service teams
• Execute proper service standards for à la carte dining, events, and private functions
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly set dining areas before, during, and after service
• Anticipate member needs and respond quickly to requests
• Support teammates and contribute to a positive, professional service culture
• Uphold Fairmount’s standards for appearance, conduct, hospitality, and attention to detail
• Assist with opening, closing, side work, and event setup/breakdown as needed

Ideal Candidate

• Has prior restaurant, hotel, private club, or upscale dining experience
• Is polished, personable, and naturally hospitality-minded
• Takes pride in service, presentation, and professionalism
• Enjoys building relationships with regular guests or members
• Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
• Can stay composed and organized during busy service periods
• Is reliable, punctual, and committed to full-time employment
• Wants to grow within a high-quality hospitality environment

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience preferred
• Private club, hotel, fine dining, or upscale casual experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and club events as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and move comfortably throughout service
• Professional appearance and demeanor required
• Wine, cocktail, or formal service knowledge is a plus, but not required
