Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and assemble precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair on existing production tooling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues affecting manufacturing processes.
• Operate and program various machine tools, including CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications for tool construction.
• Conduct precise measurements using metrology equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool performance and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in precision machining techniques (milling, turning, grinding).
• Expertise in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
• Demonstrated ability to operate manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinders).
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy, material properties, and heat treatment processes.
• Skilled in using a wide range of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Proven experience in tool fabrication, repair, and maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
• Experience with advanced machining techniques such as EDM or 5-axis milling
• Ability to program and set up CNC machines independently
• Knowledge of metrology equipment and CMM operation
