Join a top-tier global life sciences leader in Salisbury, MD, as a Lab Assistant (Crab Bleeder). This unique, hands-on role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals looking to build foundational skills in a regulated laboratory and production environment. You will receive comprehensive training on SOPs, cGMPs, and aseptic processing techniques.

responsibilities:

• Assist with the horseshoe crab blood collection and processing sequence following strict SOPs.
• Clean, prepare, and tag crabs with US Fish & Wildlife tags.
• Aseptically handle collection bottles inside bio-safety cabinets (hoods) and perform centrifuging, pipetting, and sonication.
• Maintain accurate, timely paperwork and ensure production equipment is cleaned and maintained.
• Perform daily cleaning and disinfection of the work area using strong sanitizing solutions.

 
qualifications:

• High School Diploma or 1-2 years of experience in a production environment.
• Strong ability to follow written procedures and carry them out to completeness.
• Excellent attendance, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around chemical hazards and strong disinfecting solutions.
