QualificationsQualifications:
Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.
Additional Qualifications:
Organized, efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication. Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends. Ultrasound Sonographer experience preferred.
License or Certification:Registry-eligible candidates must be ARDMS registered in either Vascular Technology (RVT) or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 month of employment (RVT preferred first) and both RVT and RDMS within 12 months of employment.
Third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) completed within 18 months of employment.
Employees that provide breast imaging are required to obtain RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months of achieved competency.
Employees hired for a role specific to vascular sonography, who are not eligible to apply for Abdomen and OB/GYN certifications, are exempt from the requirement of obtaining these registries.

Weekend coverage follows a rotating schedule among five sonographers, covering both days and nights. The opportunity to transition out of weekend rotations is based on seniority. Weekend Schedule Opportunities to pick up additional shifts and/or scheduled only weekends, if candidate prefers.
